
Seven such delegations will visit 32 countries between May 21 and June 5 to share India’s perspective and call for global support. The government aims to highlight the difference between India as a victim of terrorism and Pakistan as its perpetrator.
These delegations include MPs from various parties and are being led by prominent leaders. For example:
- Shrikant Shinde’s team will visit the UAE and some African nations.
- Baijayant Panda’s group will head to Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
- Kanimozhi’s delegation will go to several European countries.
- Sanjay Jha will lead a team visiting East and Southeast Asia.
- Ravi Shankar Prasad will represent India in major European capitals.
- Shashi Tharoor will lead the team visiting the US and Latin America.
- Supriya Sule will visit Qatar, Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
The Ministry will begin briefing the groups today, with the Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, expected to lead the session.
