As part of India’s global diplomatic campaign after Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack, multi-party delegations of MPs will be given official “talking points” today by the Ministry of External Affairs. These points will help the delegates explain India’s firm stance against terrorism from Pakistan, its military retaliation, and the new policies that reject “nuclear blackmail” and equate terrorist groups with their sponsors.

Seven such delegations will visit 32 countries between May 21 and June 5 to share India’s perspective and call for global support. The government aims to highlight the difference between India as a victim of terrorism and Pakistan as its perpetrator.

These delegations include MPs from various parties and are being led by prominent leaders. For example:

  • Shrikant Shinde’s team will visit the UAE and some African nations.
  • Baijayant Panda’s group will head to Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
  • Kanimozhi’s delegation will go to several European countries.
  • Sanjay Jha will lead a team visiting East and Southeast Asia.
  • Ravi Shankar Prasad will represent India in major European capitals.
  • Shashi Tharoor will lead the team visiting the US and Latin America.
  • Supriya Sule will visit Qatar, Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The Ministry will begin briefing the groups today, with the Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, expected to lead the session.
